Alberta Ballet Foundation

The Alberta Ballet Foundation was founded in 1994 by former members of the Board of Directors of Alberta Ballet. Its purpose is to foster the long-term financial stability of Alberta Ballet by the creation of an endowment fund to be held in perpetuity, which now totals more than $300,000. Income from the fund will be used by Alberta Ballet to create new repertoire, develop new audiences and provide educational programmes.
To honour the memory of the Foundation's founding Chairman, Garry C. Johnson Q.C. a memorial fund was established in his name. Many of his friends contributed to that fund, and continue to do so, raising more than $212,000 to date.
The Foundation wishes to acknowledge with gratitude a matching grant received from the Canadian Arts and Heritage Sustainability Program established by the Minister of Canadian Heritage.
