Alberta Ballet Partners with 630 CHED Santas Anonymous To Benefit Children in our Community
Edmonton, AB - Alberta Ballet is proud to announce a new partnership with 630 CHED Santas Anonymous in the Nutcracker for Kids holiday gift drive.
During the Edmonton run of Alberta Ballet's new production of The Nutcracker, December 11 - 14, 2008 at the Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium, patrons are encouraged to bring a new unwrapped toy to help brighten up the holidays for children in the community. Cash donations will also be accepted, with all proceeds going to benefit 630 CHED Santas Anonymous and Alberta Ballet's Education Programs.
"Enjoying the arts should never be dictated by your tax bracket and neither should your ability to enjoy the holidays," comments Alberta Ballet's Executive Director, Darryl Lindenbach. "The community has helped to make our new Nutcracker production a great success. We hope that, through the generosity of our 10,000 plus visitors we will entertain this holiday season, we will be able to make a significant impact on arts education and the lives of children less fortunate in our community."
Alberta Ballet is also donating 50 tickets to performances of The Nutcracker that will be distributed to 630 CHED Santas Anonymous families so that they may also experience the joy of live performance this holiday season.
