Four Seasons & Cantata
After more than a decade's absence, Alberta Ballet is pleased to present the celebrated return of one of Canada’s most acclaimed ballet companies, Les Grands Ballets Canadiens de Montréal. Just when you will feel like the winter will never end, they will propel you into a sensuous Mediterranean heat wave of truly superb dancing, featuring one of Europe's hottest modern day choreographers- Italian maverick Mauro Bigonzetti. Sharing a double bill will be two of his most prized ballets, his deeply spiritual incarnation of Vivaldi's Four Seasons and his provocative and riveting hommage to the passionate ethos of southern Italy, Cantata. Discover this highly innovative European artist and rekindle your love affair with Montreal's famed ballet company. Accompanied live by Italy's Gruppo Musicale Assurd.
