Help Alberta Ballet support our dancers on and off the stage as we invest in their future.

A young student is training to pursue their dream of a career in ballet. Help them reach their potential!

Support Alberta Ballet's commitment to bring another 50 years of acclaimed performances to audiences in Alberta.

Alberta Ballet is planning for a bright future infused with powerful artistry and breathtaking talent.

Donations to the Barbara Palmer Fund for New Works support the creation of new repertoire. These donations invest in the aspirations of tomorrow's Alberta Ballet, inspiring audiences and dancers alike!

Alberta Ballet has set an ambitious goal: to stage multiple brand new productions between now and June 2019. Our 17/18 season features premieres of two new works, All Of Us and Cinderella, and our 18/19 season will present a new Sleeping Beauty and Mixed Bill in addition to a re-vamped The Fiddle and the Drum, celebrating its 10th Anniversary.

Dancer Development

Dancers, like professional athletes, need to position themselves for a career path after they retire from the stage. A dancer’s professional performance career is brief, and Alberta Ballet would like to ensure the continued success of our company dancers. This year, the fund provided $25,000 toward dancer training in areas like Emergency Medical Technician training, Human Resources Certification, and Kinesiology studies.

You can be part of supporting Alberta Ballet dancers in their pursuits. Contribute to the Dancer Development fund to help our dancers prepare for post-dance opportunities!

The greatest benefit of the dancer development program is that it allows us to explore post-ballet career opportunities. Post-Secondary education is expensive, especially during our lay-off time. The program provided me the liberty to study and progress in my academic career without having to worry about financial constraints.
— Tanya Chumak, Company Dancer studying for her Bachelor of Arts in Kinesiology at the University of Calgary

Alberta Ballet School Scholarhip fund

Training for a professional dance career takes great commitment and determination. On top of academic studies, the students at Alberta Ballet School train for 20 to 30 hours a week in classical and contemporary ballet where they develop their technique and master their artistry. To give more aspiring dancers access to this program, the School provides scholarships to over 60 youth in grades 7 to Post-Secondary annually, totalling over $400,000 in financial support.

Help us provide these aspiring young artists with the support they need. Donate now to the Scholarship Fund and help us train the next generation of Alberta Ballet dancers!
