Dancers, like professional athletes, need to position themselves for a career path after they retire from the stage. A dancer’s professional performance career is brief, and Alberta Ballet would like to ensure the continued success of our company dancers. This year, the fund provided $25,000 toward dancer training in areas like Emergency Medical Technician training, Human Resources Certification, and Kinesiology studies.
You can be part of supporting Alberta Ballet dancers in their pursuits. Contribute to the Dancer Development fund to help our dancers prepare for post-dance opportunities!
School of Alberta Ballet Scholarhip fund
Training for a professional dance career takes great commitment and determination. On top of academic studies, the students at the School of Alberta Ballet train for 20 to 30 hours a week in classical and contemporary ballet where they develop their technique and master their artistry. To give more aspiring dancers access to this program, the School provides scholarships to over 60 youth in grades 7 to Post-Secondary annually, totalling over $400,000 in financial support.
Help us provide these aspiring young artists with the support they need. Donate now to the Scholarship Fund and help us train the next generation of Alberta Ballet dancers!
