Alberta Ballet is planning for a bright future infused with powerful artistry and breathtaking talent.

Ticket sales account for only half of the true cost of sustaining a company the size of Alberta Ballet. Donor support makes our creative vision possible!

An Alberta Ballet donation can take many forms:

  • Monthly, quarterly, annually
  • Gifts of securities
  • Planned giving
  • Memberships

No matter how you choose to donate, your gift directly supports the magic of dance on stage. We offer various programs to connect you with our art. You’re always welcome to contact us to discuss donor programs! We’d love to hear from you: donate@albertaballet.com or 403.245.4222 ext. 555

New Works

Donations to New Works support the creation of new repertoire. These donations invest in the aspirations of tomorrow’s Alberta Ballet, inspiring audiences and dancers alike!

Alberta Ballet has set an ambitious goal: to stage five brand new productions between now and June 2019. Our 17/18 season features premieres of two new works: All of Us (The Tragically Hip Ballet) and Cinderella, our first new family ballet in ten years.

Creative Partner Recognition: This season, we’re also offering a unique program that connects New Works donors directly to Artistic Director Jean Grand-Maître's latest creation, All of Us (The Tragically Hip Ballet).

Creative Partner recognition is open to donors who contribute $1000 or more. These donations help support the creative work associated with a specific song in All of Us: artistic creation, choreography, costumes and dancer rehearsal. You will be recognized in association with your chosen song in the All of Us playbill.

To donate please contact donate@albertaballet.com or call Sam Uhlich at 403.245.4222 ext. 555 to learn more about available songs.

Muriel Taylor Dancer Development

Dancers, like professional athletes, need to position themselves for a career path after they retire from the stage. A dancer’s professional performance career is brief, and Alberta Ballet would like to ensure the continued success of our company dancers. This year, the fund provided $25,000 toward dancer training in areas like Emergency Medical Technician training, Human Resources Certification, and Kinesiology studies.

You can be part of supporting Alberta Ballet dancers in their pursuits. Contribute to the Muriel Taylor Dancer Development fund to help our dancers prepare for post-dance opportunities!

Supporting the School of Alberta Ballet

The School of Alberta Ballet is the official training centre of Alberta Ballet. With studios in Calgary and Edmonton, the School of Alberta Ballet trains Calgary and Edmonton children in either intensive or open divisions. They also operate a private boarding school in downtown Calgary, attracting students from across the country and around the world.
