Red Deer Outreach Classes
Register for Free Youth Beginner Ballet at the Red Deer YMCA!
These beginner ballet programs are offered at no cost and are designed to increase accessibility to the benefits of dance for more families. Classes help youth to nurture their self-expression; strengthen physical health; connect with new friends; increase confidence and find a sense of belonging in a safe, fun and welcoming space.
No previous dance experience is necessary, and no uniform is required. Registration is required.
Classes will run every Monday for 6 weeks from Oct 16-Nov 27, 2023. (No class on Nov 13). Parents/guardians are welcome to attend the last class on Nov 27 to see what students have learned.
The Northside Community Centre YMCA is located at 6391 76 St, Red Deer, AB
What to Wear & Bring
- Students should wear comfortable clothing that is easy for them to move in. No formal uniform is required.
- Students will dance in socks. If a student owns ballet slippers, they can also wear them for class, but it is not required.
- For safety reasons, no dangling jewelry is permitted during class.
