Uniform Guidelines
Alberta Ballet Classes Uniform Guidelines 2025-2026
Our goal at Alberta Ballet Classes is to create training spaces where every student feels comfortable, confident, and celebrated for who they are, and we’ve updated uniform guidelines to reflect this commitment. The new options give students more choice while upholding standards that let teachers see posture and alignment for safe, effective coaching.
Students may choose any combination of gender-neutral uniform pieces for their program/level. Photos are included for inspiration and suggested combinations.
Skin-tone tights and matching shoes are welcome, and ballet pink is still an option — we ask that tights and shoes are the same colour to create a continuous line from leg to foot.
To support safe, comfortable training, hair should be kept off the face (bun, or a neat braid/ponytail secured close to the head); short hair can be held back with a headband or clips. For safety reasons, loose jewelry is not permitted but small, non-dangling studs are fine. Items needed for medical or religious reasons may be worn.
* Please choose matching tights/ socks and shoes to ensure one solid line of the leg and foot.
