Through this collaboration, Alberta Ballet dancers have access to specialized care from professionals who understand the unique physical demands of ballet. Peak Health & Performance offers evidence-informed treatment and personalized support to optimize physical performance and prevent injuries. This partnership ensures dancers receive premium care to sustain their training, enhance recovery, and support career longevity. This partnership becomes a vital cornerstone as Alberta Ballet expands its mainstage season to 57 performances per year (up from 44 performances in 2024/25).

Led by Dr. Alex Louder, Peak Dance is a specialized offering from Peak Health & Performance. Peak Health & Performance is a home grown, Calgary-based network of multidisciplinary sports and injury clinics offering physiotherapy, chiropractic care, acupuncture, massage therapy and custom bracing. Their team delivers a holistic approach tailored to the needs of each dancer, in close collaboration with Alberta Ballet’s artistic and support staff.

“Peak Health & Performance is proud to formalize a dedicated program for Alberta Ballet dancers, building on over a decade of working closely with many of their athletes. We’re excited to offer a collaborative, multidisciplinary approach to care that emphasizes consistency, injury prevention, and proactive management—ensuring dancers receive the highest standard of support both on and off the stage,” said Dr. Louder. “We are continually in awe of these dancers—their dedication, athleticism, and artistry inspire us. Alberta Ballet dancers perform in seven productions per season with shows in both Calgary and Edmonton, in addition to maintaining rigorous year-round training. This partnership provides them with a sustainable health and performance infrastructure built for the demands of professional dance.
