Andrea Arbasino is originally from Voghera, Italy, where he began studying classical dance at a young age. In 2016 he was admitted to the Accademia Teatro alla Scala in Milan, where he trained with teachers such as Frédéric Olivieri, Tatiana Nikonova, Loreta Alexandrescu and Elisa Scala, taking part in important productions including Woolf Works by Wayne McGregor, Aida by Giuseppe Verdi, The Nutcracker by George Balanchine and Don Quixote by Rudolf Nureyev.

In 2021 he continued his training at the European School of Ballet in Amsterdam, under the direction of Jean-Yves Esquerre and Olivier Wecxsteen.

During these four years, Andrea had the opportunity to deepen different styles and choreographic languages thanks to workshops with masters and choreographers such as Merrill Ashley, Suki Schorer, Maurice Causey (on William Forsythe’s masterpiece Herman Schmerman), Maina Gielgud, Goyo Montero, Roslyn Anderson and David Dawson.

His repertoire includes classical titles such as La Esmeralda, Raymonda, Ondine and Gottschalk by Olivier Wecxsteen, alongside contemporary creations such as Monade and Winter by Goyo Montero, Sombra, Aeternus and Fireflies by Macarena González, and Boulez I by Maurice Causey.

Andrea also had the opportunity to perform in Amsterdam with Metamorphosis by David Dawson, a neoclassical piece that marked his last performance with the school before the beginning of his professional career.

For the 2025/26 season, Andrea received his first contract as a professional dancer, joining the Corps de Ballet of Alberta Ballet in Canada, where he officially begins his artistic career.

Originally from Asunción, Paraguay, Paloma began her ballet training at a very young age at Patricia Manavella Ballet Studio, under the guidance of Patricia Manavella. She also trained with Miguel Bonnin and, in 2021, completed her final year at the RCPD Mariemma (Real Conservatorio Profesional de Danza Mariemma) in Madrid, Spain.

Paloma has been recognized internationally, earning First Place in the Junior Category at the International Competition in Spoleto, Italy, and receiving scholarships to various schools at the Miami International Ballet Competition.

Before joining Alberta Ballet, Paloma danced with the Opéra National du Capitole in Toulouse, France, and later with Balletto di Milano in Italy, where she performed in renowned theaters worldwide across a wide range of productions and roles.

As a guest artist with Ballet Clásico y Moderno Municipal de Asunción, she performed Juliet in Romeo & Juliet. She has also appeared in prestigious galas throughout Latin America, dancing leading roles such as Kitri in Don Quixote, Odette/Odile and corps de ballet in Swan Lake, as well as roles in Le Corsaire, La Fille mal gardée by Ashton, La Bayadère, The Nutcracker, Na Floresta by Nacho Duato, among many others.

Victoria was born in Calgary, AB, where she found her love of ballet while taking classes locally at the Trico Center. To further her training, she joined the Royal Winnipeg Ballet School before heading to Vancouver and San Diego to train under Tania Brossoit, Lynette Kelley, Francine Garton, Barbara Seibert-Chatelain, and Igor Yurlov. Victoria then completed her training in the Alberta Ballet School’s Graduate Program and had opportunities to perform alongside the company. She joined the Alberta Ballet Company as an Apprentice and was promoted to Corps de Ballet in 2025. Performing as a Wili in Christopher Anderson’s Giselle and as a Chorus Witch and Dew Fairy in Loughlan Prior’s Hansel & Gretel were Victoria's most memorable roles, while her most loved productions have been Francesco Ventriglia's The Wizard of Oz and his Don Quixote.

Zachary is from Carlisle, Pennsylvania, and began his training at the Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet under the renowned Marcia Dale Weary. He went on to complete his studies at the San Francisco Ballet School under the direction of Patrick Armand, performing in numerous works with the company.

Zachary is now in his fourth season with Alberta Ballet, having previously danced with The Joffrey Ballet in Chicago and Kansas City Ballet. His highlighted repertoire includes featured roles such as Pas de Trois in George Balanchine’s Emeralds, August Bournonville’s Flower Festival in Genzano, and Annabelle Lopez Ochoa’s Tulips and Lobster.

In 2022, Zachary appeared in the Yeah Yeah Yeahs’ music video Spitting off the Edge of the World(featuring Perfume Genius). Among his favourite Alberta Ballet memories is performing “Jesse” in Helen Pickett’s Petal and in Loughlan Prior’s Hansel & Gretel. He has also had the privilege of working with celebrated choreographers including Alexander Ekman, Edwaard Liang, and Christopher Wheeldon. Alongside his ballet career, Zachary is currently pursuing a degree in Hospitality Management to support his passion for the culinary arts.

Grace was born in Melbourne, Australia and started her dance training at the age three. In 2018, she was accepted into the vocational training program at The Australian Ballet School.

While training there, Grace had the opportunity to represent the school at Canada’s National Ballet School, as part of their exchange program. She also danced leading roles in ballets choreographed by Danielle Rowe, Stephen Baynes and Loughlin Prior.

Grace received her graduate diploma this past December and joined the Australian Ballet for their short term production of the Storytime Ballet; Sleeping Beauty, where she performed Aurora and the Lilac Fairy. 

Grace joined Alberta Ballet for the summer contract and is now looking forward to perform a wide range of challenging  and exciting repertoire in the 2025/26 season.

Born in Sydney, Australia, Zoe began her ballet training at The McDonald College performing arts school. In 2021, she moved to Melbourne to join the Australian Ballet School in Level Five.

During her time at the Australian Ballet School, Zoe received the Graeme Murphy AO Contemporary Dance Award, the Areti Boyaci Spanish Dance Award, the Sandra Ball Award for Excellence in Anatomy Studies and was elected 2024 School Captain.

Zoe has performed in various productions with The Australian Ballet, including Graeme Murphy’s The Nutcracker: Story of Clara, Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, The National Tour, and The Storytime Ballet Season of The Sleeping Beauty, where she performed the roles of Aurora, Lilac Fairy and Carabosse. 

Zoe is excited to join the Alberta Ballet as a corps de ballet artist in 2025.

Joining us from Melbourne, Australia, Bel joined Alberta Ballet in the summer of 2025, and was invited to stay on for the 2025/26 season.  

Bel began her training at 6 years old, with a local ballet school in Melbourne, before progressing to more intensive training with the Australian Conservatoire of Ballet, at age 13. After one year, she was accepted into the vocational dance training program with the Victorian College of the Arts Secondary School.  

At 17, she moved to the south of France, to continue her vocational training, and received her graduate diploma from the Pôle National Supèrieur de Danse, Rosella Hightower, in 2022. 

While studying in France, she had the opportunity to intern with the Dresden Semperoper and work closely with Les Ballets de Monte Carlo.  

After spending one, subsequent, postgraduate year in the English National Ballet School’s Professional Trainee Programme, she joined Hong Kong Ballet for three productions, over the 2024/2025 season, before being accepted by Alberta Ballet. 

Her most memorable professional experiences have been performing George Balanchine’s Serenade, as part of Hong Kong Ballet’s triple bill; The Rule Breakers, Yuri Posshokov’s Swan Lake world premiere, also with Hong Kong Ballet and Les Ballets de Monte Carlo’s Opus 40, while studying in France.

Before joining Alberta Ballet for the 2023/24 season, Chizuru trained for two years at Alberta Ballet School. She had a chance to attend the Assemblée International 2023 and had a such a productive time with dancers all around the world. She also had opportunities to dance with Alberta Ballet Company’s productions such as Giselle, the Nutscracker.

One of her memorable roles was Fairy of Joy from Christopher Anderson’s the Sleeping Beauty,  Witches Loughlan Prior's Hansel & Gretel. and Cupid from Don Quixote.

 Yaroslav is originally from Lviv, Ukraine. Upon arrival in Canada, he completed his training at Alberta Ballet School under the guidance of Murray Kilgour, Ashley McNeill, and Aram Manukyan. After completing the trainee program, Yaroslav was offered an apprentice contract at Alberta Ballet.

He has performed many roles with the Alberta Ballet , including Christian Spucks Le Grand Pas de Deux, Father in Lauchlan Priors Hansel and Gretel, Francesco Ventriglias Bolero, and Sugar-Plum Cavalier in Edmund Stripes The Nutcracker.

Outside of ballet, Yaroslav also enjoys dancing country swing at the local honky-tonk. He is also passionate about rock climbing and loves spending time outdoors.
